3.2 million dots

January 16, 2012

This is a beautiful picture of the Lord.

Christ is seen and expressed by His body. His body, the church, is made up of many members, just like in the video above, the picture is made up of many dots. On its own, one dot cannot express the full picture. It takes all the dots together to see the entire image. It is the same with us. While inside each of us is the fullness of God, on our own we can only express just a small part of Christ, but when we come together, as his body, the full image of Him is expressed and seen.

Paul wrote about this. Ephesians 1:22-23 says”And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” The church is the fullness of Christ. Do you understand how amazing that is?

In Ephesians 4:15-16, Paul states “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” For the body to grow and work properly, all the parts have be there (just like for you to see this drawing, all the dots have to be there). If a dot were missing, then the image would be lacking something, just as if a person is missing from the body, the body is lacking something and Christ cannot be glorified and expressed as much as he could if all the members of the body were present.

Beautiful isn’t it?

Wow, I am truly stunned. To think that each one of us was selected by the Father before the foundations of the world to be one of those dots in the expression of Christ is more than I can comprehend! How glorious. Thank you!

Great illustration that embodies (pun intended) how we collectively fit together to create an earthly representation of Christ! Blessings!

    Dot-Jon,
Wow, that’s really cool, bro! Great picture of our Lord’s body, and the masterful way that the expresses His life through many being joined together by His spirit.

    Bless you,
    Dot-Trevor

New to Christ, and faith is an issue but I believe in something greater then us all.
